The Okanogan Conservation District and the Methow Watershed Council are partnering up again to bring members of the community into the process of forming the Okanogan County Water Bank. While the Water Bank is still in development, now is the time to get input from the community regarding goals, concerns, and hopes for the benefits of a local water bank.
On Friday, November 17, 2023, Okanogan CD and MWC will host an interactive event at the Twisp Valley Grange. Doors open at 5:30, and the event begins at 6:00PM. Representatives of the Water Bank Team, Okanogan Conservation District, and Methow Watershed Council will give a short presentation on the status of Okanogan County Water Bank. Following this short presentation, we’ll host a small group interactive activity to draw out your questions, comments, and concerns as feedback for the water bank development process.
The goal of this meeting is to connect with the community and receive input on the development of the Okanogan County Water Bank while learning more about what needs could be served and elements that are important to stakeholder and users. This is an opportunity for the public to learn about the progress of the bank, and an idea of how stakeholders and partner organizations will be working with the bank.
We invite community members to take this community survey before the meeting, so that we can improve the questions and answers provided at this event.
