In 2023, Phil Dart was appointed as interim supervisor mid-term due to a vacancy on the Board of Supervisors. The position he was appointed to is up for re-election this year and it will be chosen by registered voters who reside within the Conservation District boundaries. Candidate filing is now open and anyone within the district's boundaries can apply. Filing will close on February 9th at 3:00pm.

What is the Board of Supervisors?
The Board of Supervisors includes three elected members, and two members appointed by the Washington State Conservation Commission, all of which serve without compensation and volunteer their time to attend frequent meetings and set the policy and direction of the Okanogan Conservation District. What is the district boundary?
The district boundary encompasses all of unincorporated Okanogan County, and the following incorporated cities and towns: Okanogan, Conconully, Omak, Elmer City, Coulee Dam, Winthrop, and the Colville Reservation. If you live in the towns of Twisp, Oroville, Tonasket, Riverside, Brewster, and Pateros, you are not eligible to vote as those towns are not currently annexed into the district.
How and where can I vote?
To vote in district elections, you must be a registered voter living within district boundaries. A poll site will be held on March 12th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the district office which is located at 1251 2nd Ave. S., in Okanogan.
If you would like an absentee ballot, please contact OCD Election Officer, Becky Drenner, at becky@okanogancd.org or (509) 429-3418. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 3:00 PM, on February 20th, 2024. Absentee ballots must be post-marked no later than election day, March 12th, 2024.
