Okanogan CD Hosts FREE Chipping Events

Hello Residents of Okanogan County,

It's time to sign-up for fall chipping! The Okanogan Conservation District will have free chipping events this fall throughout the county. Chipping events promote better air quality for our county by serving as an alternative to burning. Sign-up and spread the word!

Sign-up for a chipping event! (ALL PARTICIPANTS PLEASE USE THIS FORM)

Town of Riverside will meet at 3 Hubbard Rd, Riverside, WA. Please bring your materials to this location between 8 am and 4 pm on the day of the event.

ALL communities - except Town of Riverside, please gather woody materials (branches, tree limbs, bushes, etc.) and have your pile(s) stacked at the end of your driveway by 8am on the day of your community event. A chipper will come through the communities listed above and chip any woody materials that you have. If you are interested in participating, please sign-up for your chipping event so we can be sure to find your materials!

* After materials are chipped, the chips will be left in a pile at the end of the driveway. Learn more about how to use chips for landscaping, compost, mulch, etc., on our resources page.

Newby Creek, Kumm Road, and Libby Creek will have access to chipping and a dumpster to dispose of materials that can't be chipped (grass clippings, leaves, etc.)
