Okanogan CD Spring Air Care Events!

Hello Residents of Okanogan County,


The Okanogan Conservation District is working with local partners to provide chipping events throughout the county this March, April, and May. This project aims to prioritize healthy air quality for everyone and offer smoke-free events as alternatives to burning. Thank you, Washington State Department of Ecology, for funding this project.













EVENTS:

City of Okanogan: Thursday & Friday - June 8th & 9th

- Sign-up here for another round of chipping!

- SUCCESS! The event on 3/21 totaled 250+ piles chipped.

Communities in the Methow Valley: (Sun Mountain Ranch Club, Timberline Meadows, Libby Creek, Edelweiss, and Pine Forest)

Twisp Events:

(Curbside Chipping and Twisp Transfer Station)

- Transfer Station events and curbside chipping are now closed.


City of Omak: Saturday - May 6th


Malott Event: Wednesday - May 17th

(Mobile event for: Malott, Chiliwist, residents along Old Hwy 97, and surrounding areas)

- This event is now closed.


OTHER:

Landfill voucher program: April 1st - June 15th

(Available to residents outside of the city limits of Okanogan and Omak)


 

We are happy to organize these events and provide these opportunities for our communities with the support and partnership of Okanogan County, Okanogan County Landfill, City of Okanogan Public Works, City of Omak Public Works, Clean Air Methow, City of Twisp, Methow Valley and Okanogan Valley Community Leaders, The Department of Ecology, and other local organizations and partners.
