The Okanogan Conservation District is requesting statements of qualifications for completing a feasibility study for USDA certified meat processing in Okanogan County funded by a grant from USDA Rural Development. The Okanogan Conservation District, with the assistance of Okanogan County Public Works Department, identified specific roads within the fire perimeters where hazard trees are a concern to public safety. The targeted roads prioritized in order include: Chiliwist, French Creek, Bill Shaw, Watson Draw, Davis Canyon, and North Star roads. The Okanogan Conservation District is calling for bids to remove hazardous trees along county roads.
