The Okanogan Conservation District is seeking a detail oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to fill the Finance and Administration Manager position. The Okanogan Conservation District is a dynamic organization, comprised of volunteer board members and paid staff members, that are leaders in “on the ground conservation”. We seek individuals that will complement our highly productive, energetic, and skilled staff to deliver quality conservation programs to Okanogan County residents.

The Okanogan Conservation District is requesting statements of qualifications for completing a feasibility study for USDA certified meat processing in Okanogan County funded by a grant from USDA Rural Development.  A copy of the grant can be acquired at the District office during normal business hours, by email request from mindy@okanogancd.org, or by calling (509) 422-0855, ext. 109.  You may also download the grant here.

The Okanogan Conservation District, with the assistance of Okanogan County Public Works Department, identified specific roads within the fire perimeters where hazard trees are a concern to public safety. The targeted roads prioritized in order include: Chiliwist, French Creek, Bill Shaw, Watson Draw, Davis Canyon, and North Star roads. The Okanogan Conservation District is calling for bids to remove hazardous trees along county roads. Sealed bids will be received at 1251 South 2nd Ave, Room 102, Okanogan, Washington before 2:00 P.M (Pacific Time), Monday, March 27, 2017.
