Water Quality
The Okanogan Conservation District is non-regulatory and works to improve water quality through voluntary programs. Knowledgeable program staff are available to assist with water quality concerns, offer educational resources, and if requested, can help landowners and agricultural users with project planning.
Voluntary Programs
Riparian and wetland protection and enhancement assistance
Do you have questions or concerns about the health of your stream, wetland, or aquatic and riparian habitat?

Agricultural livestock exclusion project assistance
Are you an agricultural user who needs assistance with exclusion fence, off-site watering facilities, erosion control, vegetation restoration, or something different? See how we can help!

Post-fire water quality protection and assistance
Waterways impacted by wildfire may result in erosion issues, vegetation and aquatic habitat loss, increased noxious weeds, and more.

VSP critical area monitoring
If you're an agricultural user, complete a VSP checklist to share your conservation efforts or sign-up for monitoring.

Submit a technical assistance request, request a site visit, or share your ideas and inquire about a water quality improvement project. This may be a planting project, watering facility, exclusion fencing, or something different. Contact us to learn more!
