Okanogan Conservation District and the Colville Confederated Tribes, with grant funding from the Bonneville Power Administration, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and the WA State Salmon Recovery Funding Board, seek to develop designs for a stream restoration project on Loup Loup Creek, near Malott, Washington.
Project Goals:
The landowner and project partners support a habitat restoration project which will increase the quality and quantity of habitat within a 600-foot reach of Loup Loup Creek. The primary objective is to increase productivity for summer steelhead, while minimizing flood risk and erosion towards existing infrastructure within and downstream of the project site. Efforts to increase productivity may be directed at adult spawning, incubation, or juvenile rearing.
